Everton compose official appeal over the verdict to dock them 10 Premier League points for
financial rule breaches.

The Merseyside club was given the penalty - the largest in Premier League record - by an
independent commission.

The club has submitted their appeal with the Premier League's judicial panel, and an appeal board will now be selected to attend to the case.

The Toffees accepted the breach but said they were surprised and dissatisfied at the strictness of
the penalty.

The petition will be listened to and completed before the end of this season.

Everton Football Clubhas today submitted with the chair of the Premier League's judicial panel its
appeal of the verdict by a Premier League commission to force a 10-point inference
on the club, - Everton said.

The Toffees has not been told how the number of 10 points was gotten by the independent commission which determined the sanction, and thinks a sporting sanction for a breach of
accounting is unfair.

The petition will go before a panel which will appraise the ruling of the commission, evaluating the
process and whether, in its opinion, the sanction given was fair or not.

The points reduction dropped Everton from 14th in the Premier League table to 19th.
