The match between Newcastle and Arsenal started by 6.30pm with Arsenal mainly in control of the game, especialy in the first half. This match between Newastle and Arsenal was quite fiersty. arsenal mssed the deft touches of their captain, Martin Odegaard who was absent through injury. Though Kai Havertz played in his absence, he could not create those chances Martin Odegaard produces with his close control and eyes for openings behind opposition defence.

Newcstle resorted to bullying Arsenal players especially Bruno Guimares who escaped a booking from the Referee after hitting Gorginho from behind on the neck. He bullied another Arsenal player, Pablo Vieira by shoving him off from the ball and was this time around, booked. That actually shouldhve been his second yellow card of the match and a possibl Red but no. Though Havertz's late challenge on Longstaff of Newcastle sparked a flare-up between the teams, theReferee issued a deserved yellow card to Havertz and more three cards to Newcstle payers for their reactions.

Then came the Newcastle goal. as the ball was crossed across the Arsenal goal area, it went towrds the corner line and actualy cross the corner linebut thelines an allowed game to play on.the bal was crossed in by Joe Willock, formerly of Arsenal. as the cross came, Gabriel went for a heder but was obviously pushed from behind by a Newcastle player. Then the ball fell tothe feet ofGordon who scored. quite Controversial! The VAR reviewed the goal and it was surpringly, given to Newcastle. It was quite obvious it was a push from behind by the Newcstle player but why was the goal allowed to stay?
