Ronaldo suspended for infuriating supporters in Saudi

Cristiano Ronaldo, the Al-Nassr striker has been suspended for one match for infuriating supporters after
the Saudi Pro League win over Al-Shabab.

Al Shabab fans sang Messi- Ronaldo's long-term rival Lionel Messi - after Sunday's 3-2 loss in Riyadh.

Captain of Portugal Ronaldo,39, cupped his hand to his ear and made a signal to the supporters.

He was fined 30,000Saudi Riyals (£6,300) also by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF).

Ronaldo cannot appealagainst the verdict, the SAFF disciplinary and ethics committee said.

Ronaldo began thescoring from the penalty spot, but Al-Shabab on two occasions, came from behind
before Talisca scored an 87th-minute winner.

The Portuguese joinedAl-Nassr on a free transfer from Manchester United in December 2022 for allegedly
the biggest football wage in record.

The 39-year-old hasscored 20 goals in 22 league games this season for Al-Nassr, who are second in
the table behind Al-Hilal.
